So this very morning Top Gear posted a video on YouTube of a Bugatti Chiron 490.48Kph. Now let’s just think about this, 490 kph! that is 307 in mph. I can’t wrap my head around how fast that is, this pursuit of speed has pushed boundaries to levels that I never thought I’d see.
I’m sure right now After also watching that video, Mr John Hennessey of Hennessey performance just threw his computer out the window and flipped the table and screamed out for his senior engineers as the Hennessy Venom F5 was the fastest car before he went to bed last night, sitting at 301 miles or 484 kph. How far will this go is what I ask now, is a car gonna be able to do 600kph in my lifetime?
I really am starting to believe this cause looking at how far we have come since the McLaren F1. In 1998 it reached 386kph and was the reigning champion of that title until the Koenigsegg CCR beat that record in 2005, a 7-year gap. Now 7 years from 2005 that number one spot has changed more than 3 times and now in 2019 it’s changed way more times than that, with each car getting faster and faster and more brands are looking to feed their hunger for speed and for the title. With all of that reasoning, I do believe a 600kph car will be in my lifetime, it’s just a matter of time now.
