A baby Ferrari? The iconic brand has yet again released another one, this year alone we have seen four new Ferrari’s and this is the fifth: meet the new Ferrari Roma.
Ferrari wants to bite into the market of the Mercedes-AMG GT and the Aston Martin Vantage which is a competitive segment, due to the quality of cars there. Looking back at Ferraris, in general, don’t usually share platforms, but with this, the Roma is based on the Portofino. Same wheelbase and same 3.9-litre V8 engine, so what’s the difference? Firstly, it has more power than the Portofino sitting at 456kW but has the same 760Nm of torque. The car is also lighter than its sibling, so it will definitely be more dynamic and seemingly that is the direction Ferrari is taking with this car with such competent rivals they need to have a serious car – 0-100kph sprint is dealt within 3.4 seconds and on to a top speed of 320kph. For me, the highlight of this car is the looks, cause boy it is gorgeous. The interior is completely new and I am loving it – Ferrari easily trumps its rivals when it comes to appearance in my books, a bedroom wall poster for sure.
Ferrari hasn’t given out a lot of details about the car including the price and date of release, so I guess all we can do is hang on to these pictures and drool for now.
