BMW has decided to give the new 8 series Grand Coupe the M treatment and have come up with the M8 Grand Coupe, and based on just the looks alone, this car is stunningly gorgeous.
There will be two variants, the M8 or the M8 Competition, and both have a 4.4-litre twin-turbocharged V8 engine serving 441kW and 750 Nm of torque for the standard and 460 kW for the competition but the torques remain the same. It gets from 0-100 kph in 3.3 seconds with the competition doing it in 3.2 seconds, top speed 250kph. If you want to go even faster you have the option for the M drivers package which increases the top speed to 305 kph.
Inside, the car is quite similar to what we have seen in the M8 coupe. However, the dimensions are different – with two added doors you get back seats that can seat two individuals and a boot that can pack luggage for all four passengers. The BMW M8 Grand Coupe will be on South African soil by the first quarter of 2020.
BMW did an amazing job with the looks of this car – judging from its beautiful pictures, I think I am in love.
