Towards the end of last year Mini introduced the new JCW engine, a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol that produces a meaty 225kw with 450Nm of torque, and able to launch to 100km/h in 5.1 seconds. So what really are they changing if the most important bit has already? We got the details.

Well, it’s mainly the appearance that gets the refresh. The Countryman JCW has a newly designed front grille and a new set of LED headlights as well as some new rear lights that now have the Union Jack design.
New colours have been added to the range like a Sage Green and White Silver. If you are a fan of Piano black MINI has a whole package dedicated to that colour, this includes a high-gloss black finish around the head and taillights, the grille, the door handles and model lettering. Inside, you can now opt for a 12.7cm drivers display screen, the Infotainment screen has been revised too as now has a 22.3cm touchscreen in place, a SIM card is now installed as standard so that the vehicle is always connected to many of Digital services Mini has to offer.
This Mini Countryman JCW is set to launch on local shores at around the fourth quarter of 2020.
