Ford has revealed a new special edition Ranger, it’s called the ‘Thunder’ and here is what you can expect from this special edition Bakkie.
Most evident is the new colour that it is finished in a Sea Grey colour with red styling details as well as the front grille that features a three-dimensional styling, looking like a true brute. The front and rear lights have darkened bezels and just in case you people don’t know yet that you driving a special edition ranger, a red ‘Thunder’ logo is placed on the lower part of the front doors.

The red trimmings continue inside the Ranger as you can see on the carpets, the seats, as well as branded embroidery and the skills, include red illumination. The Thunder is based on the Wildtrak so it still has the 2.0-litre bi-turbo Diesel engine with a 10-speed automatic transmission. Ford will only be making 4500 of these units and only 1400 of them will be Right-hand drive, and as we are a Bakkie loving country, we can expect some of these on our shores but the actual launch date is yet to come.
