Recently Jaguar unveiled their updated F-Pace and now they’ve brought out their full-fat SVR version.
Firstly let’s talk about power. Powering this big cat is Jaguar’s 5.0-litre V8 Supercharged petrol engine, that produces 405kW and 700Nm torque – 20Nm more than the outgoing version. This helps the F-PACE SVR accelerate from 0-100km/h in 4.0 seconds, which three-tenths faster than before, and will top out at 286km/h. To withstand the higher loads produced by the motor the F-Pace SVR features the same torque converter used in the Jaguar XE SV Project 8 super sedan. The steering system is enhanced with a new electronic power-assistance system delivering greater immediacy, providing a heightened connection between the vehicle and driver. Modified tuning of the adaptive damping provides a more refined ride at low speeds, which is further improved by revised chassis bushes.
Jaguar’s All-Wheel Drive with Intelligent Driveline Dynamics is fitted as standard. Adaptive Dynamics suspension technology ensures a precise, dynamic set-up coupled with a supple ride, while Configurable Dynamics provides enhanced driver appeal by enabling the driver to set up the vehicle to suit their personal preferences. Thanks to improved airflow, it’s now more aerodynamic.
The seat and door inserts are finished in Alcantara with elements covered in luxurious Windsor leather, such as the central cubby and leather midroll. The 12.3-inch HD Interactive Driver Monitor is wrapped with ebony stitching in Alcantara, while aluminium patterned finishers are available as an option with open-pore carbon fibre as standard. Optional slim semi-aniline leather sports seats across the front shoulder section with heritage logo inspired diamond embroidery display a distinctive perforation across the backrest, although the same design on the seatbacks are used on the leather.
The new Jaguar F-PACE SVR will be launched in South Africa in the first half of 2021 and is available to order now with a starting price of R1,835,700.
