Meet The New Suzuki Ignis

The cheerful Suzuki Ignis has been refreshed, we now find a new grille and both front and rear bumpers have been redesigned and added chrome and metal bit to make the car that much cooler in my opinion.

Two variants are available: the GL and the GLX. The GLX has been fitted with roof rails and is the variant that receives the chrome detailing on the exterior, the GL has to stick with boring black and plastic wheel covers. Suzuki has also added new colours: Arctic White Pearl Metallic, Silky Silver Metallic, Glistening Grey Metallic, Turquoise Blue Pearl Metallic and Midnight Black with Pearl Finish.

On the inside not much has changed but the GLX model gets Suzuki’s touchscreen infotainment screen complete with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. As the top-spec the GLX gets a reverse camera, push-button start, automatic climate control, silver highlights on the parking brake, door handles and shift knob.

Engine-wise the story remains the same, as the car is still powered by a 1.2-liter naturally aspirated petrol engine, which produces 61kW and 113Nm. power is sent to the front wheels via either a five-speed manual gearbox or an automated manual transmission (GLX).
