A car that truly was built for the Hulk: Audi has given the Q8 the RS treatment to create an incredible behemoth of an SUV. The new Audi RS Q8 is here to devour all performance SUVs and we have some specs as proof of this.

Well before we tell you the juicy details, it has already been crowned the fastest SUV at the Nürburgring. That’s facts! Lapping the ring in a blistering time of 7:42.253. Now that we have put you in perspective of this monster, one of the reasons behind this speed is the engine. Audi has put the 4.0-litre V8 engine with a mild-hybrid system to produce 441kW and 800Nm, which gets the RS Q8 from 0-100 in 3.8 seconds.

The RS treatment doesn’t stop there, as this RS Q8 has an extremely distinct look from the regular Q8, with huge air intakes that make it look like it could eat a small hatchback – to the rear oval exhaust that surely lets out a thunderous exhaust note from the V8. With that, it also gets 22-inch wheels, with tyres that are currently the largest fitted as standard on an Audi; bigger brakes have also been fitted to be able to bring this SUV to a halt. Inside the RS Q8, you will find some RS-embossed sport seats with the usual Audi Q8 interior setup with more RS and sports lines all around.

The Audi RS Q8 will be released in 2020 in Europe but for South Africa, we are yet to find out if we will get this beast.
