Audi has finally revealed their brand new A6 and S6 for the South African market, to tackle the likes of the BMW 5 Series and Mercedes Benz E-Class. The A6 has always been seen as the “nerd” or the “businessman/woman” of the Audi range as they appeal more to the business class.

With new looks the new Audi A6 is more sophisticated than ever before, it’s like that person that only drinks Fiji water. It is bigger than the previous A6 in all dimensions, creating a lot more room on the inside just in case you need some office space in your car to do some work on the go. The exterior gives us some new LED lights with some new lines on the body giving it a more focused and purposeful appearance.

Performance figures for the A6 are probably not as important but it is only available with two engine options. The A6 will have a 2.0-litre TDI engine producing 140kW and 400N.m followed by a 3.0-litre TDI engine producing 180kW and 600N.m. However, if you still feel like this is not enough and you will be late to business meetings, the Audi S6 has a 3.0-litre V6 petrol engine with 331kW and 600 N.m for you to use to get there a whole lot quicker with 0-100kph done in 4.5 seconds.

For us, South Africans the Audi A6 40 TDI (2.0-litre engine) and the S6 are already available for purchase but the A6 45 TDI (3.0-litre engine) will be coming around mid-year.

Pricing:

Audi A6 40 TDI  R885 000
